About The Role:

As the leader of the Client Management function, you will be responsible to profitably renew and grow our customer base. As a key leader, you’ll coach, set strategy and drive accountability, while partnering with the client organization to grow our client revenue and relationships across our install base. . Reporting to SMG’s Chief Sales Officer, this individual will work closely with leadership in sales, marketing, revenue operations, and sales enablement to drive the expansion sales strategy and achievement. This leader must be an authentic collaborator, servant leader, and a client – centric, proactive, problem solver. This role is an integral part of SMG, powering our journey to more than triple in size in the company’s next chapter of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively inspire, motivate, and empower a team to meet monthly and quarterly team expansion sales goals
  • Effectively grow, manage, and maintain a pipeline of client expansion opportunities for strategic accounts
  • Establish active communication and engagement with SMG clients to provide new solutions which add value to their organization
  • Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders such as Revenue Operation, Client Insights, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure our solutions meet client needs
  • Lead across your team and coach individually to ensure the function is meeting your vision and expectations for performance
  • Inspire your team using best expansion sales practices modeled by best in breed SaaS and enterprise software companies

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience working in expansion sales capacity with 5+ years’ proven experience leading a client management function at a SaaS organization. Bonus points if your experience in Experience Management.
  • Passion for leading, inspiring and coaching distributed teams against individual performance and team delivery goals
  • Global and client-centric mindset that can influence bigger thinking to maximize the global expansion sales efforts
  • Future-focused mindset that looks around corners and thinks two, three, and four steps ahead to anticipate client thinking and needs
  • Problem-solving with a sense of urgency, while also demonstrating the ability to remain calm under pressure and solve issues in a thoughtful manner
  • Embrace being a full-time teacher of expansion sales, continually educating and inspiring others to achieve results
